Almost all of Singapore Press Holdings' dailies see fall in circulation figures

Singapore Press Holdings has released its 2012 annual report and almost of it dailies are experiencing significant falls in circulation figures.

Berita Harihan, which saw growth in August 2011, experienced the biggest drop in circulation figures by 9.0% in August 2012.

LianHe ZaoBao, Tamil Murasu and The Business Times, which also saw growth last year, contracted in 2012.

For the first time in its report, Singapore Press Holdings have combined the circulation figures of The Straits Times and The Sunday Times.

If one were to take the average circulation between The Straits Times and The Sunday Times in August 2011 (370,100), the circulation for both papers would have fallen by 4.86% in August 2012.

tpJust stop my ST for two months now. Hope this will help. Just the other day, bought a copy to see how are things, ended up wasting 90 cents.

For those we need broad sheet size paper for wrapping, cleaning after your pets and lining the dog's kennel and other household chores, suggest you get the fat Saturday edition with plenty of news print well worth your money.

All are not called newspaper more like PAP newslettersssss so why waste my money on propaganda and BS. We get more neutral and in depth news online without trying to brainwash the people too.

Singaporeans are not stupid nowadays OK, SPH!

DBS Bank – One Tweet too little too late.

(Updated post - DBS apologise with the 3Rs – Will social media bite? ) It was the bluest Monday for DBS/POS Bank in its entire banking history when more than 1000 of their ATM and online banking services were taken offline due to a software upgrade an outage (PR announced that it was down due to software upgrade, but the outsourcer, IBM, later claimed it was an outage). I have been busy with family for the Lunar New Year week but it seem the Singapore blog-o-sphere was active, and is still is, about recently formed Association of Bloggers (Singapore), ABS for short. To cut a long story short, the announcement of ABS via mainstream media didn’t go down well with Singapore bloggers and in the end resulted in some speculation to why ABS was set-up in the first place. A post by the ABS president defending herself against a harsh criticism from a blogger added to the bad start and created even more speculation that ABS was set-up with an ulterior motive.
